On account of the birth anniversary of Rajmata Jijabai, the mother of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Fencers Sports Foundation felicitates the Mother of a sports player of Mumbai Suburban District, who has excelled at National and International level with Rajmata Jijau Puraskar. This award is the recognition given to the efforts, sacrifice and support given by the mother to her child in the field of sports. This year marked the 5th year of this award function.

The only club in Mumbai Suburban district to felicitate the mother of sports champion, is carrying out this activity along with other districts of Maharashtra Fencing Association respectively. The names of our "Rajmatas" are then sent to the organisation of Jijamata's family in Sindhkhed through the Maharashtra Fencing Association and acknowledged by them. Fencers Sports Foundation has immense pleasure and pride to carry out this Award Function every year!
